NWHA on the Trail trail some of the obstacles encountered included a natural water crossing, a gate and an uphill canter. Each of these obstacles were successfully navigated, with only a minor penalty at the water obstacle when Drifter decided to steal a quick drink. The arena obstacle challenge included an L back, a round of cantering and a small jump! This dynamic gaited horse and rider team brought home a 1st place ribbon for the arena challenge and a 2nd place in trail for their division! Though new to rail classes and dressage, Taunya has been competing with Drifter at trail and arena obstacle challenges for the past 4 yrs. As a team, these two get better every time they go out. Just getting out there and having fun is what is most important but Taunya also really enjoys showing the horse world just how versatile the gaited horse can be.
