Leadership readily supported the idea, and in 1971 NWFPA become the industry’s first state or regional association to produce an exposition. EXPO manager Pat Wolvert decorated the parking garage of the Portland Hilton for 79 exhibitor booths and 1,500 attendees for the inaugural exposition. By the mid-1980’s, demand for exhibit space dictated a move to convention centers in Portland or Seattle. NWFPA Nominating Committee: Call for Nominations The NWFPA Nominating Committee would like to consider all recommendations from NWFPA membership for new Directors of the Boards for NWFPA and ERI. Those eligible to serve on either the NWFPA or ERI Boards of Directors shall be employed by or retired from a member of NWFPA at the time of their service. All nominations will be reviewed by the Nominating Committee and new directors are selected in spring, 2014. The deadline for nomination entries is January 31, 2014.
