That vision needs to include and energize the diverse voices of our region to foster a greater urgency for land conservation. I’m incredibly excited to be the new Executive Director of this great organization at a time when I can help make that happen. I’ve made my home in Northern Virginia for most of the last twenty years and am now raising a family here, so NVCT’s success is personal to me. Like many of you, my passion for the outdoors came from experiencing the wonders of nature at an early age, and my kids deserve to have those experiences too. As your regional land trust, we are committed to working with landowners throughout Northern Virginia to Save Nearby Nature, both for them and for the future that we leave our children. Your support has been and continues to be critical to making these dreams a reality. We need you with us because together we can build an NVCT that will work tirelessly to protect and enhance the future of our community. Sincerely, Alan Rowsome NVCT Executive Director Annual Report FY 2017 n 3
