- It's really important to drink a lot of water. This helps you to be hydrated at all times. Dehydration is very dangerous so it's best to drink more than 2 liters of water per day.
- Try to avoid as many sugared drinks as you can. Try to limit them up to two per day. This can be very bad for your health.
- Never skip meals.. This is one of the most common mistake that teenagers make. It is really important to get all meals because you need all the nutrients you are getting in each meal. Also, never skip breakfast as a lot of people do ,because it is the most important meal of the day.
- Not all diets are healthy. There are diets like the "low-carb diet". This WILL make you lose weight, but it doesn't mean your are losing it the right way. This just works because you are cutting out a lot of nutrients your body needs. This probably won't work because right when you start eating carbs again you will gain the weight you lost. Also, low carb diets are high in saturated fats which is really bad and dangerous for your body. This can cause up to a heart disease! See, what people don't realize is that there are good and bad carbohydrates. Carbohydrates are found in bread, pasta, brown rice, corn, etc. Bad carbohydrates are white bread, pizza bread, pretzels, hamburgers, etc. Proteins can be found in food like fish, meat, eggs, milk, etc. The best of these is fish.
- Fruit and vegetables is considered a 50 percent in the serving size of each food group. Fruits and vegetables contain a lot of vitamins and minerals and they are low in calories. They help you to not be tired throughout the day. Proteins 20 %, and carbohydrates 30%.
- Exercise. You will feel healthier and your metabolism will increase. This can prevent many diseases and wil help you be healthier when you get older. You should at least exercise 20 min per day.
