day. One such example involves
the moving of modular data
and information centers. With
the model of business within
the hi-tech industry changing,
modularization is increasing and
evolving. Essentially the modules are loaded onto a 40-foot
truck with wheels, providing a
“plug and play” alternative for
corporations.

As in most industries, technology continues to innovate
in trucking. GPS tracking for
trucking equipment is a fairly
new trend, using technology
that has existed. But now, as
they say, “There’s an app for
that.” Pegasus has been experimenting with cell-phone-based
technology that can provide
tracking and tracing for a load.
While still exclusive to company
staff today, Pegasus hopes to
one day put the ability to track
directly into customers’ hands
with an easy mobile interface.
For Pegasus, which has
clients all over the world, and
other logistics providers, moves
are less about trucks and more
about solutions.
“They are looking for integrated solutions that involve
