12-week Distribution Components

NTFB’s 12-week F4H distributions consisted of weekly, 2-hour open house sessions that allowed clients to come in and out within a 2-hour window in 5-7 minute blocks. Each client received a nutritious handout (5-7 minute nutrition session), recipes (2), cooking incentives, and bonus food items along with a box and bag of fresh produce.

While your agency may not have staff available to facilitate the education session, all of the other components of the 12-week distribution can be easily replicated. Please see below for the processes that we used to govern our 12-week distributions.

Before your 1st Distribution:

• Ensure every participating client has signed a waiver

• Collect any necessary intake information

• If desired, utilize an attendance sheet to track weekly attendance

• Create fliers listing all the dates of the future distributions

• If tracking, collect Health Marker Data on each client to track changes at

the beginning and end of the program

Distributions 1-11:

• Print a MyPlate 10 Tips Sheet Handout

for each client

• Print recipes (2) for each client

• Recipes are selected based on

the produce provided

• Ensure that produce and boxes

are staged and ready before clients

arrive

• If applicable, ensure incentives and

bonus items are staged and ready

before clients arrive
