BUS-ALT SHIELD-E BOLT-LIG GATOR POWERLIFTING
Age : 21 and up Min / Max : 4 / 6 Location : Blair Park , Lake Bluff
This program is designed for athletes to learn the skills and techniques required to lift competitively . During the first week of the program , athletes will go through a Skills Assessment Test to determine participation in the program for the remainder of the season and gain eligibility for Special Olympics Illinois competitions .
Save the date ! The Special Olympics District Powerlifting Tournament is Saturday , March 25 and Sunday , March 26 .

Goals :
Athletes are expected to compete in Special Recreation Association ( SRA ) and Special Olympics events and must register for competitions . NSSRA will distribute registration forms at the program .
For those who qualify , the Special Olympics Illinois State Summer Games are from Friday , June 9 - Sunday , June 11 , 2023 . NSSRA will offer additional practices on May 31 and June 7 to athletes who qualify for state .

Gator Swim Team is lap swim designed for swimmers who want to compete in Special Olympics competitions . Swimmers must be able to swim one length of the pool without assistance or stopping to rest . Gator Athletics emphasize sportsmanship , fundamentals , and rules of the sport . During the first week , athletes will take a Skills Assessment Test to determine participation in the program for the remainder of the season and gain eligibility for Special Olympics Illinois competitions .
