Adult Programs Monday Line-Up Time to Spare* Improve your bowling skills and learn proper bowling etiquette. Adaptive bowling equipment is available. You will bowl at least one game per week in this program. Transportation will be provided from your home to Time to Spare when you register for transportation. Fee includes shoe rental and bowling fee. Goals: Increase bowling averages. Develop an understanding of bowling rules and etiquette. Increase upper extremity’s range of motion. Date: Mondays, January 7 - February 25 Taste Buds* If you are registered for Time to Spare, then this program is for you! After bowling, we will head to a local restaurant and have lunch! The group will eat at the bistro at Pinstripes for the first week and then the group will decide on the restaurants we will go to for the rest of the season. Please bring $15 - $20 for lunch each week. Transportation will be provided from Time to Spare to the restaurant, and transportation will be provided from the restaurant to your home when you register for transportation. Gator Powerlifting This program is designed for athletes to learn the skills and techniques required to lift competitively. During the first week of program, athletes will go through a Skills Assessment Test to determine participation in the program for the remainder of the season, as well as to gain eligibility for Special Olympics Illinois competitions. Athletes are expected to compete in Special Recreation Association (SRA) and Special Olympic events and must register for competitions by completing registration forms which will be distributed at program. Athletes must have a current Special Olympics Medical Application for Participation on file. Save the dates! The Special Olympics District Tournament is Sunday, April 7 and for those who qualify, the Special Olympics Illinois State Summer Games are Friday, June 7 - Sunday, June 9. No program April 8 and May 27. Goals: Increase knowledge of powerlifting techniques. Improve strength and maintain a fitness log.
