Memories in Michigan
Registration Deadline: Friday, January 25
Let's go for an adventure in New Buffalo, Michigan! Come join us as we explore "Pure Michigan." We will go hiking in Galien River County Park, paint pottery
at a local studio, go bowling and cruise around town with friends. We'll also hit up some delicious restaurants, including Redamak's, a local classic! We
will be leaving NSSRA on Saturday morning and arriving back to the office on Sunday afternoon. So pack your bags and come join us for an unforgettable
weekend! Please bring spending money if you would like to buy snacks or souvenirs. Fee includes transportation, meals, accommodations
and admission to all activities.
Please note that participants will be sharing rooms and possibly beds with peers based on double occupancy. If you would like your own
room or bed, please contact Katie James to make arrangements by the registration deadline. An additional fee may be charged for these
arrangements.
A trip waiver and an information packet will be sent upon registration and should be returned no later than Friday, February 15. Participants
must be able to function in a group setting with assistance and be able to follow scheduled activities. For trip details, please contact Katie James, Recreation

Camp Wigwam
Registration Deadline: Friday, May 10
Acka Lacka Ching! NSSRA once again will fly to Camp Wigwam on Bear Lake in Waterford, Maine. This camp offers exciting opportunities from swimming,
watersports and hiking to singing around the campfire and archery. The camp is accredited by the American Camping Association, and NSSRA has been
taking groups to Maine for over forty years! Camp Wigwam is an unforgettable experience and a great opportunity to make new memories and friends!
New participants must attend an NSSRA overnight trip prior to the registration deadline for Camp Wigwam so NSSRA can assess the
individual’s readiness for this trip. There will also be a mandatory meeting for new participants a week before the trip. Please note
that participants will be in single beds and sharing cabins with peers. If you want your own cabin, please contact Katie James to make
arrangements by the registration deadline.
A trip waiver and information packet will be sent out after the registration deadline and must be returned no later than Monday, July 29. Participants must
be able to perform daily living skills, follow scheduled activities and function at a 1:4 staff to participant ratio. Activities may require participants to walk from
place to place, so it is not recommended that you register for this trip if you tire easily when walking. Fee includes transportation, meals, accommodation,
and a wide variety of activities. For trip details, please contact Katie James, Recreation Specialist for Trips, at (847) 509-9400 x6833 or [email protected].
