Trips Memories in Michigan Registration Deadline: Friday, January 25 Let's go for an adventure in New Buffalo, Michigan! Come join us as we explore "Pure Michigan." We will go hiking in Galien River County Park, paint pottery at a local studio, go bowling and cruise around town with friends. We'll also hit up some delicious restaurants, including Redamak's, a local classic! We will be leaving NSSRA on Saturday morning and arriving back to the office on Sunday afternoon. So pack your bags and come join us for an unforgettable weekend! Please bring spending money if you would like to buy snacks or souvenirs. Fee includes transportation, meals, accommodations and admission to all activities. Please note that participants will be sharing rooms and possibly beds with peers based on double occupancy. If you would like your own room or bed, please contact Katie James to make arrangements by the registration deadline. An additional fee may be charged for these arrangements. A trip waiver and an information packet will be sent upon registration and should be returned no later than Friday, February 15. NSSRA once again will fly to Camp Wigwam on Bear Lake in Waterford, Maine. This camp offers exciting opportunities from swimming, watersports and hiking to singing around the campfire and archery. The camp is accredited by the American Camping Association, and NSSRA has been taking groups to Maine for over forty years! Camp Wigwam is an unforgettable experience and a great opportunity to make new memories and friends! New participants must attend an NSSRA overnight trip prior to the registration deadline for Camp Wigwam so NSSRA can assess the individual’s readiness for this trip. There will also be a mandatory meeting for new participants a week before the trip. Please note that participants will be in single beds and sharing cabins with peers. If you want your own cabin, please contact Katie James to make arrangements by the registration deadline. Participants must be able to perform daily living skills, follow scheduled activities and function at a 1:4 staff to participant ratio. Activities may require participants to walk from place to place, so it is not recommended that you register for this trip if you tire easily when walking.
