Participant Information
Half Hour Private Meetings
NSSRA staff members are available to conduct 30-minute private
consultations to discuss recreation and leisure opportunities for
individuals with disabilities. Programs For All Participants
NSSRA offers additional services to meet the needs of all
participants through LEAD (Leisure Education Awareness and
Discovery).
Speakers Provided
One of our trained staff members would be happy to meet with your
organization, social service club or community group to talk about
NSSRA services and other disability related topics. LEAD (Leisure Education Awareness and Discovery) is
available to students with special needs who require a
structured introduction to leisure experiences. Leisure
Education provides leisure awareness for students during
their school day through a cooperative effort between
special education staff and NSSRA program staff. This
program offers opportunities for students to learn new
activity skills in a structured environment.
