Cabin Fever
Registration Deadline: Friday, February 3 Getting tired of being cooped up at home? Experiencing cabin fever? Time to take it back to nature and explore Camp Red Leaf in Ingleside, Illinois! We will be participating in camp activities like archery, rock wall climbing, campfires and tie-dyeing. For those of you who are interested in Camp Duncan but want to experience a shorter overnight camp first, this is the trip for you!
Fee includes transportation, meals, accommodations and a wide variety of activities. Please note that participants will be in single bunk beds in a large open cabin with peers and staff. Individual cabins are not available. Participants must be able to function in a group setting with assistance and follow scheduled activities. A trip waiver and an information packet will be sent upon registration and should be returned no later than Monday, February 20. Bahamas Cruise
Registration Deadline: Friday, March 3 The ocean breeze is calling our names! Let’ s set sail aboard Carnival Cruise’ s Valor ship and visit the Bahamas! We will fly to Orlando and spend one night in Port Canaveral before our ship departs on Thursday, April 27. During the three days at sea, we will see a comedy show, explore the various pools and restaurants, and make memories with our friends that will last a lifetime. The ship will make one stop in Nassau, Bahamas where we will have a dolphin adventure. This is a trip you will not want to miss!
Participants for this trip are required to have a current U. S. Passport for travel outside of the United States. NSSRA requires proof of a current NSSRA passport to be submitted by Friday, March 24 to Jerod Mikkelsen, Recreation Specialist for Trips, via jmikkelsen @ nssra. org.
Please note that participants will be sharing rooms with peers based on double occupancy. If you want your own room, please contact Jerod Mikkelsen to make arrangements by the registration deadline. An additional fee will be charged for these arrangements. Participants must be able to perform daily living skills, follow scheduled activities and function at a 1:4 staff to participant ratio. This program may require participants to walk from place to place. It is not recommended that you register if you tire easily when walking. An information pack and trip waiver will be sent upon registration and should be returned no later than Monday, April 17.
