Gator Swim Team

Gator Swim team is designed for swimmers who want to compete. Swimmers must be able to swim one length of the pool without assistance or stopping to rest. The first few weeks will focus on conditioning and practice. Note: All athletes must attend these practices as well as take a Skills Assessment Test to gain eligibility for Special Olympics Illinois competitions. All athletes must have a current Special Olympics Illinois Application for Participation on file. Goals: Enhance strength and endurance, promote stroke development, and increase physical conditioning.

Adapted Swim

Join us while we work to improve mobility and strength in this fun swim program! Whether you want to learn how to swim or just improve the skills you already have, Adapted Swim is for you. This program offers individual swim instruction to work on the participant’ s goals in a one-on-one aquatic environment. This program is designed specifically for individuals with physical impairments who use a wheelchair or are ambulatory. Please limit your registration to one group. No program October 21. Goals: Increase physical endurance and improve strength, mobility and flexibility. Improve individual swimming skills. Increase water safety awareness.
