In & Around NSRCC What Makes our Sky Range so Different? • This would be the first elevated driving range in Southeast Asia. • Collection of golf balls are not done in the conventional way, but by gravity to the gutters. • The main structure of the building has been constructed with steel. This is in order to achieve productivity and efficiency such as a short construction period in prefabrication and design efficiency. • Balls will be conveyed to the gutters which are further transported by water to the collection bin at the main building. • The structure of the range is supported by a deep foundation system with 4-bored pile for each individual high mast. Each high mast has lightning conductors secured and physically detached to the bay building, to ensure that the driving range is safe for use even during inclement weather. • The golf balls within the main building are conveyed upward towards the dispensing machines via a pneumatic system. This means it would be more reliable and quiet in this process. • Despite the side netting raised high, additional top netting has been provided to ensure the safety of nearby human and vehicular traffic. • To allow maximum height for ball flight, high masts and top netting have been built to the maximum limit imposed by CAAS. • The Club is providing use of the launch monitor system at all 42-bays, with no additional cost to our members and guests. • The first tier of practice bays have been raised to 9.5m high to provide clearance for any fire engine access. This would also allow for the first segment of netting dipping down further, in order to open up space at the end of the range. • The rooftop café is the highest point at its southern site, with unrestricted views to the northern boundary of Singapore.
