In & Around NSRCC
Project Love 2019
By HR & Training
D
ecember is always the most wonderful time
of the year, and for staff at NSRCC it is a
time for us to give back to the community.
For this year’s Project Love NSRCC collaborated
with The Food Bank Singapore, a registered
Charity which collects excess food from food
suppliers and re-distributes them to organisations
such as old folks’ homes, family service centers
and soup kitchens.
Our staff volunteers together with Food Bank set
off to deliver bundles of joy in the form of food
packs, to Senior and Family Service Centers
serving the underprivileged who reside in rental
units in Bedok. Everyone gathered at Thye Hua
Kwan Senior Activity Centre @ Kaki Bukit to
bundle all the essentials such as brown rice bee
hoon, rolled oats, fresh fruits & vegetables into a
food packs.
All packed and ready to spread joy to the
neighborhood, the heavy rain and wind certainly
did not dampen our mood as our kind gesture
was warmly received by the recipients of the food
packs. The smiles on their faces and words of
gratitude brought loads of warmth to our hearts.
It was a great pleasure to share such joy and love
to the needy in our community during the festive
season, and we certainly look forward to our next
project!
