The Kapyong action also earned the
Battalion a US Presidential citation.
MAJGEN McLachlan described the action to those
present, paying tribute to two veterans of the battle
who were at the parade - RMO COL Don Beard and
Joe Vezgoļ¬ , a former corporal in the Battalion.
