ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Jason Metz is a doctoral student of exercise physiology at the
University of Pittsburgh. He currently serves as a faculty member
at Waynesburg University in the Exercise Science Program.
Outside of teaching, Metz is a business owner where he works
with a vast population of clients including adolescent athletes,
military personnel, and individuals dealing with chronic disease or
disabilities. Metz worked at the Neuromuscular Research Lab at the
University of Pittsburgh, where he helped with a literature review
for a research project through the Department of Defense. Metz
is credentialed through the National Strength and Conditioning
Association (NSCA) as a Certified Strength and Conditioning
Specialist® (CSCS®) as well as a Tactical Strength and Conditioning
Facilitator® (TSAC-F®).
Julia McCracken is a graduate student at the California University
of Pennsylvania in Exercise Science with a concentration in
Performance Enhancement and Injury Prevention. During her
undergraduate career at West Virginia University, McCracken
interned at Pro Performance Rx in Morgantown, WV. Currently she
is employed at the Foundation for Wellness in Waynesburg, PA as
a personal trainer. She works with a variety of clients from youth
athletes to older adults. McCracken is credentialed through the
American Council on Exercise (ACE) as a Certified Personal Trainer
and the National Association of Speed and Explosion (NASE) as a
Speed and Explosion Specialist.
