About The Foster Grandparent Program is designed for limited income senior volunteers ( 55 +) to help exceptional or special needs children in a supervised
Requirements :
• Age 55 + Male or Female
• Live inWapello County
• Enjoy working with children on an individual basis ; in schools , preschools , child care centers , etc .
Meet the guidelines :
• Single person- $ 2,085 or less per month
• Two-person household- $ 2,815 or less per month

Benefits :
• Receive approx . $ 240- $ 480 per month , tax-free income as a reimbursement for your volunteer effort .
• This does not affect : Title XIX , SSI , rent status , heat assistance , or any benefit you are receiving
• Paid Monthly in-service training
• Paid holidays
• Paid time-off for medical and vacation
• Public transportation will be made available if needed or mileage reimbursement if you drive your own vehicle
• One meal furnished per day when volunteering
