If I could change one thing , I would uphold the integral part our onsite teams play in the success of our industry . With the new trend of centralized leasing , I still believe in the value of the customer service experience . Building rapport with prospective and current residents is an integral part of our industry .

Doesn ’ t describe my management style , but I am excited for Yellowstone to start again .

I ’ ve had the opportunity to work for some amazing people ; Mary Wessler , Lynett Brockman , Kal Zeff , Deb Maietta . They all taught me something about our industry and helped me grow .

Baseball games where we can enjoy the sun , hang out and talk ; or something active that splits up onsite teams to talk to new team members .
◆ IDEAL LONG WEEKEND ?
Flying or Driving to a destination Thursday night to Monday . Sightseeing / participating in a local activity , relaxing at the hotel / spa / pool time , enjoying amazing food at local restaurants ( no chain restaurants )! Having Monday to prep for the work week ahead !

Leasing with Career Strategies . I actually only went on 2 leasing assignments then they asked me to come work in their office . I did that for a year then got a Leasing and Marketing position with Riverstone .

When I left the Retail Industry . Going from a District Manager to a Leasing Consultant is quite a humbling experience . Unfortunately in many industries , your skills don ’ t transfer and you ’ re expected to start at the bottom and work your way up . However , this allowed me to learn a new industry and grow fairly quickly in this industry .

Increase outreach efforts to attract more diversity .

A Million Little Things – Spend a lot of time rallying my teams to get thru all the unpredictable curveballs they experience daily .

Judy Blaes . If you know Judy , you know !! She has challenged me to step out of my comfort zone , and has provided me with immeasurable support .

Grabbing a meal with my team . Gives us a chance to get to know each other on a personal level .

A trip to the Caribbean ( white sand and turquoise water ). Pretty sure I was an “ Island girl ” in a past life .
