– HALL OF FAME INDUCTEE – Breakin Hearts (Ellie) Foaled 15 August 1995 Bred by the Addyman Family of NSW Australia Sire: Rule Breakin Q-31132 Dam: Nareeb Nareeb Olympic Gold Q-12169 Ellie was named Breakin Hearts because it took one look when she was born and they knew she was going to break hearts in the show pen. Trained and shown by David Norbury, Ellie started showing in 1996 and was named NPHA Weanling Halter Champion and Reserve National and Victorian State Halter Champion. David continued to train and show Ellie winning the AQHA Nationals in Junior Horse Western Riding in 2000, David had many wins with Ellie including AHS and Victorian State Junior Hunter Under Saddle and many High Point Awards. In 2002 Ellie was sold to Leonie Huber and exported to New Zealand were she was named Supreme Halter Champion at the 2003 AmQHA-NZ Nationals. She also won AmQHA-NZ Nationals in Western Pleasure, Hunter Under Saddle, Reining, and Trail. Ellie earned more than 800 points showing in New Zealand and returned to Australia in 2005, where she won High Point Awards at AHS and NPHA. Leonie and Ellie then showed at 18 Reining Australia Shows, winning shows in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland. Q-33736 In 2007 Mal Anderson bought Ellie for his daughter Kodi. At their first major show Ellie was gated for being lame and the Anderson family was promptly told that Ellie at 13 years old was a broken down has-been with no ovaries. Ellie recovered from her loose shoe to win the AQHA Senior Horse Reining and Youth Western Riding at the 2008 Nationals. Ellie and Kodi went on to win another 28 National and Reserve National Championships in Australia, including an unprecedented 11 National Buckles, a Reserve plus the High Point Youth Buckle at the 2011 AQHA Nationals. In the same year Ellie and Kodi won the AHS Super Horse Title, the first Youth to ever win. They have won High Point Youth at every major show in Australia In May 2011 Ellie and the Anderson family moved to Texas to campaign Ellie in the big shows in the USA. To date Ellie and Kodi are credited with 121 performance wins and eight halter wins in the AmQHA NSBA Reserve World Champion in Western Pleasure, AmQHA Reserve National Champion in Trail, seven Regional Championships and three Reserves. Ellie and Kodi were recruited to the North Central Texas College (NCTC) Stock Horse Team, where they won American Stock Horse Association Collegiate National Championship in Ranch Trail. They then competed at the Stock Horse World Titles winning the Collegiate Ranch Pleasure, Ranch Trail, Reining and placing 8th in the Cow Horse. NCTC won the Collegiate World Championship Team. With a perfect score of 100, Ellie and Kodi won the Overall Ranch Pleasure and were Reserve in the Reining, making Breakin Hearts the first Australian bred horse to win at an American World Show. Breakin Hearts has won major events in nine associations. In three different countries, she has over 2500 AQHA Points and 91 Awards. With 38 National or World Titles in Halter, Western Pleasure, Western Riding, Western Horsemanship, Trail, Showmanship, Hunter Under Saddle, Hunt Seat Equitation, Reining, Ranch Pleasure, Ranch Trail, 109 State or Reserve State Championships, a win in Reining and Reserves in Trail and Western Riding at the AmQHA Youth World Cup. Kodi and Ellie were also recently crowned Non Pro Ranch Riding Champions at 2015 National Snaffle Bit Association World Show. P
