china vs india
Both sides have reached a point where they both have troops stationed at the south side of Pangong Tso Lake. There was even a standoff at one point. After screaming and yelling at each other, commanding officers pulled the soldiers apart. No one fought and there were no injuries. The Chinese swear they haven't done anything wrong. That it was the Indians fault that the boarder doesn't have any peace or stability. Residents in Ladakh have been complaining about China apparently eating away at their territory.
Despite that, there has been footage of Chinese soldiers crying as they're being sent to the Sino-Indian boarder. They were sobbing so much, they struggled to sing the words to "Green Flowers in the Army". They were crying either because they were told they were headed to the front lines or fear of something else.
The continued standoffs have ended any kind of normalcy on the Sino-Indian border. Though they were both successful in coming up with agreements in the 90s and early 2000s, tensions began to slowly rise once again. They were beginning to have more standoffs. The 2017 Dolkam standoff, though ended in disengagement, China was also feuding with Bhutan for the same reason they're feuding with India: border disagreements.
They've been fighting for so many decades. Maybe it's time for both sides to realize that borders in a environment at such high altitudes is something that isn't going to work.
