TALKIN ' TURKEY

Turkeys are a uniquely American bird . Before we sit down with our families for Thanksgiving dinner and gorge ourselves on turkey let ' s have some fun learning about these fall fowl favorites . This program is intended for children 5 + years old . Younger children may need the help of a parent .

OWL PROWL

Owls are truly amazing ! Sharp talons , strong beaks , keen vision and hearing make them tigers of the air . Learn why owl flight is silent and use some detective work to discover what these birds like to eat . One owl pellet and dissection kit included for each paid participant . Kits must be picked up from The Grove prior to virtual program date .

SPECIMEN SKETCHING

Meet other art enthusiasts while you are introduced to science illustrations . Attendees are granted exclusive afterhours access to the newly renovated Interpretive Center . Improve your careful observation skills while a professionally trained artist teaches you how to sketch like a scientist . Chairs and paper provided . Please bring your own art supplies . Taught by English / Spanish Bilingual Instructor . Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult . Adults and children must register separately .
