On Saturday, November 14, NSU sent two teams to the Southeastern Regional ACM Programming contest at FIT in Melbourne, Fla. Members of one team included Lillian Arguelles, Juan Carrion and Salvatore Mitrano. The other team, Patrick Alexis, Ian Gaines and Bryan Wainick, was the top scoring team in our division at the FIT site! Congrats to all and thanks to Prof. Paul Kenison for his support!

As we approach the end of the Fall 2015 term we would like to take a moment and discuss several initiatives for 2015-2016:

Opening a new student lab for working on incubation projects.

Starting an IT Certification resource library.

Social events throughout the year.

Original mobile application creation competition.

Door prizes and other grab bags at all social events.

Congratulations to CEC students Ulises Fuentes and Teodora Suciu on their induction to the Alpha Chi Honor Society!

Alpha Chi is a co-educational academic honor society with more than 289 chapters in the United States. It is the longest standing academic honor society on campus, promoting and honoring academic excellence and exemplary character among all undergraduate majors.

Invitations are extended to less than three percent of all undergraduate students, who must meet strict academic and enrollment criteria to qualify for this honor.

Prahasi Kacham is a senior pursuing a degree in Information Technology who was selcted as the 2015-2016 Microsoft Student Partner for NSU.
