Royalty: Bridget Behrns
Bridget gave a recap of the Royalty Banquet, giving a special thanks to Rachel, Lori and the current court. There are 10 contestants. Deposits have been given to Arlene from banquet tickets and Royalty contest applications. Bridget will work with James on stalling assignments, and check with facility for tables for the silent auction. Bridget thanked everyone who helped out as an interview and evening judge for the contest.
Rulebook: Cindy Ladd Nothing to report. Safety Committee: Corey Swartout
Absent. Corey is set for Champ Show. Scholarship: Julie Gintner
Julie will be sending out letters to the scholarship recipients, as well as RSVP info for the Awards Banquet. The Foundation will be donating a scholarship again this year.
Stalls: Tim Wamplfer Simon’ s is setting up the stalls this year. Tim is looking ahead and planning for stall set up for 2026.
Old Business: None.
New Business:
-October Board meeting has been scheduled for Saturday October 25 th @ 11am, prior to set up for the General Meeting and Awards Banquet.
-Lori shared that the Draft Horse Congress will be held at the MN State Fairgrounds in 2026, July 6-11 th. They are looking to possibly rent stalls from an organization close by. Lori presented this as a possible source of revenue for WSCA, or even a way for WSCA to connect with other Equine Organizations.
Motion was made by Lori Taylor, seconded by Julie Gintner, to adjourn the Board of Directors meeting at 7:56pm. Motion passed unanimously.
