◆ My Go-to Morning Drink : Hot or Iced Oat Milk Chai
◆ Fictional Character I ' d Like to
Meet : Miriam “ Midge ” Maisel in The Marvelous Mrs . Maisel because she discovers her hidden talent of standup comedy and goes on a journey that she never felt possible . I love to laugh , and I love making other people laugh . . . maybe comedy is one of my hidden talents too ( even though my husband begs to differ )!
◆ How My Leadership Style Has Evolved : I have more confidence in being a leader . Confidence has helped me be more decisive , more authentic . It has helped me to empower others and encourage open dialogue both with my teams and my clients . I lead with conviction while creating a space where others feel equally empowered .
◆ Title of My Autobiography : Wear The Heels
◆ Eliminate From My Day-To-Day Routine : Excessive email checking – since I work from home most of the time , my computer is always there ; my phone is always there . This causes unnecessary stress and anxiety and eats up a lot of my time throughout the day ( s ), even on the weekends . It is hard to turn it off .
◆ Most Memorable Compliment I ' ve Received : I have a beautiful smile and my laugh is contagious !
◆ My Go-To Way to Relax After a Stressful Day : Listening to feel-good music ( mostly country music ).
◆ Goal I ' m Working Toward : Becoming a Vice President of Operations .
◆ Small Habit or Daily Ritual That Brings Me Joy : Before my boys leave for school each day , we each have a special handshake we complete . It ’ s awesome and we are so cool !
◆ My Go-to Morning Drink : I ’ m a simple person who enjoys Guatemalan coffee from Sprouts brewed in my Keurig at home . I love pairing it with either vanilla or caramel Silk almond milk creamer .
◆ Fictional Character I ' d Like to Meet : Beth Dutton from Yellowstone is a strong , no-nonsense character . I believe she would challenge my perspectives and push me to harness my power more effectively . Her bluntness and confidence would definitely inspire my growth , and I am sure the dinner conversation would be quite entertaining .
◆ How My Leadership Style Has Evolved : My style has evolved considerably . I began as very black-and-white , focused on policies and procedures , and I was somewhat rigid with my teams . Thanks to invaluable coaching from my mentor , Hillary Walker , I learned about emotional intelligence — the ability to understand and manage my emotions positively to relieve stress , communicate effectively , empathize with others , overcome challenges , and resolve conflicts . This transformation allowed me to become a balanced and inspirational leader for my teams .
◆ Title of My Autobiography : Breaking The Cycle
◆ Eliminate From My Day-To-Day Routine : Getting ready . I tend to waste a lot of time picking out my outfits ( or that ’ s what my husband tells me anyway 😊 ).
◆ Most Memorable Compliment I ' ve Received : “ You challenge me and make me better .”
◆ My Go-To Way to Relax After a Stressful Day : Meditating helps me clear away negative energy and recharge both physically and mentally . It allows me to disconnect and gain perspective on my problems , showing me that they ’ re not as overwhelming as I often think . This shift in perspective really reduces my stress level .
◆ Goal I ' m Working Toward : I ’ m working on becoming the best version of myself , both personally and professionally , while aiming to become an expert in my role . I ’ m focused on developing my teams , strengthening our bench , and creating multipliers . Additionally , I ’ m working on managing my time and energy more efficiently to boost my productivity .
◆ Small Habit or Daily Ritual That Brings Me Joy : Morning cuddles with my English Cream Golden retriever Jasmine .
