Meet : Ty Webb - " Caddyshack " - I don ' t think the night would end with dinner ! We might get a late night 9-holes in on the course and probably some other shenanigans !
◆ How My Leadership Style Has Evolved : From zero to where I am today . I think the ability to have difficult conversations and be okay being uncomfortable was a big step for me as a manager . When I first got a leadership role , I wanted to please everyone so I was nice all the time and would not hold others accountable . I ' ve learned through the years that team members want to have clear expectations and want to be held accountable . In fact , it ' s not fair to them when a manager does not hold them accountable to their expectations . They will not grow without that coaching .
◆ Title of My Autobiography : Who ' s got it better than us ? Nobody ! ( This is a tribute to the football coaching family of John and Jim Harbaugh . It reminds me to be grateful for what we have gone through , good times and bad .)
◆ Eliminate From My Day-To-Day Routine : Traffic . I cannot do my job effectively working from home , and I have the expectation of our team that they will be in the office . So , the 2 hours lost every day commuting would be nice to eliminate .
◆ Most Memorable Compliment I ' ve Received : Being told by residents and team members that I " care ". You can teach anyone to do the tasks of the job , but you can ' t teach them to care . By caring , you take ownership of what you are doing and are invested in the success of the business .
◆ My Go-To Way to Relax After a Stressful Day : Spending time with family and watching our kids in sports .
◆ Goal I ' m Working Toward : I am striving to reduce employee turnover . This has been high since COVID throughout our industry , we need to improve our initial hiring , on-boarding , training , and continuing education for current and future staff .
◆ Small Habit or Daily Ritual That Brings Me Joy : Greeting my team every morning . I walk through our office giving out fist bumps and checking in with our team from Regional Manager to Groundskeeper . They lift me up .
◆ My Go-to Morning Drink : I am not a coffee drinker but love a protein shake .
◆ Fictional Character I ' d Like to Meet : I would have dinner with Mickey Mouse . He represents joy and imagination , all of which happiness is made of .
◆ How My Leadership Style Has Evolved : I was lucky and had some great mentors most of my life and have picked different attributes and styles from each . Most important is listening and being supportive and I have learned that these two go a long way .
◆ Title of My Autobiography : Journey of the Heart : Balancing Dedication and Living a Balanced Life .
◆ Eliminate From My Day-To-Day Routine : All the social apps . It can sometimes lead to wasting a lot of time even before you know it .
◆ Most Memorable Compliment I ' ve Received : When I see previous associates that I have not seen in decades , they tell me that I was very instrumental in their careers .
◆ My Go-To Way to Relax After a Stressful Day : I go to the gym or do gardening .
◆ Goal I ' m Working Toward : To have a better work / life balance to spend with my family and son . Times flies by and he will be off to college before you know it .
◆ Small Habit or Daily Ritual That Brings Me Joy : Morning walks with my two dogs , Max and Luna .
