Spirit of Generosity

What does this award mean to me?
I know it might sound clichéd, but this award does not belong to me, it belongs to everyone who comes together in our Norwex family to support and celebrate each other. Nothing makes me happier than seeing others not only succeed, but thrive in Norwex. I love seeing new Consultants walk in the room knowing no one and leaving with a bunch of new friends, seeing lightbulb moments at training, the feeling of being connected by our passion and working together for the success of others. The way we work together in our local Canberra area is just so special and wouldn ' t be as great as it is without the other Leaders and Consultants there.
What kind of feelings did I have on Saturday night when my name was announced?
For anyone who was there on Saturday night at Conference, you might have noticed I was a bit surprised by this award! Conference always gets right inside my heart and this one was no different. I was so full of love and respect for my colleagues who were receiving their hard earned awards. When MY name was announced, all of that emotion just came pouring out( yes, there was ugly crying). Seeing Kim, Brian and Paula, along with the previous recipients of the award on stage was amazing and knowing that I was now part of that exclusive group made me feel so valued.
In what ways have I helped others to grow and develop in their business?
That can be a tricky one to answer because you don ' t always know how you affect others. One thing I strive to do better every day is to try to make others feel included and valued. This is something that I was missing in a regular job for so many years, so I know how important it can be. Sometimes this might be by asking the difficult questions to help someone find their ' why '. Sometimes it ' s recognising that small goals for some people can be massive achievements and celebrating with them or giving them some tips or coaching along the way can make a big impact.
Where do I see myself in 12 months time and 5 years time?
In 12 months time I see myself wearing a Red Jacket with 1 or 2 other Canberreans, because that is the vision of our ' Team ', that is the direction where we are heading. I will be further developing my coaching and Leadership skills and getting ready to set sail on the Mediterranean with my hubby and 2 kids( who remind me every day they are so excited to be going on the cruise ship).
In 5 years time... who can say exactly, but one thing is for sure, my Norwex family will definitely be party of my future.
How has Norwex changed my life?
In so many ways... when I first started, I was very lonely and feeling isolated being stuck at home with a 7 month old and a 4 year old. I even avoided seeing people as I had zero confidence. We didn ' t have much money and I was facing the prospect of going back to work at my part time job that I hated and never felt valued in. Norwex gave me my self confidence back and now I can talk to anyone( just ask my kids, they are always waiting for me to stop talking!). The personal development with Norwex is second to none! It ' s given me life long friends and a sense of purpose.
