people wanted parties etc. But I quickly made the FreshSTART sales incentives, and achieved my shopping spree in less than 2 months. It was about then that I came to my first Norwex meeting with Cath Bentley and really started to get more of an idea about Norwex and the opportunities it would have for me. I knew I really needed to recruit but I had in my mindset that if I recruited, then I would lose income from the parties. So I didn’t. on recruiting and engaging my Team and I did it, right in the nick of time. I then just needed to get the group sales up in November and I’d achieved the whole trip for free. And again, I did it! Heading to Uluru in February was just breathtaking. It was everything I could have ever dreamed of and I’m so stoked that Norwex gave me the opportunity to see that wonderful place - I got to go there absolutely free and to share it with some great new friends. With encouragement from Lisa, I decided to head to National Conference on the Gold Coast. Lisa told me it would be a game changer, and boy was she right! I went to the National Conference about 4 months into my Norwex journey and I had no Recruits. On that first night when they announced Uluru would be the Leadership Conference destination I was gobsmacked. I had to be there. But it was going to be tough, as at that point I still had no Recruits. I had 4 months to get there. I’m a planner, so I sat down and worked out what I had to do. I needed to make Team Leader that month so I could even try and qualify. I had a party running at the time so I posted the ‘Join for Free’ incentive (and this was the first time I’d ever encouraged anyone to join) and all of a sudden there were people interested! I managed to get 3 Recruits signed up and engaged and made Team Leader that month. My Team has continued to grow and in March I reached another milestone – Executive Sales Leader. My next goal is Africa, and I’m definitely on track however it may be down to the wire! Then was the kicker. To get Uluru for free, I needed another 9 Recruits, and I needed to make Sales Leader by the end of November. Thankfully, I didn’t have too hard a time getting those Recruits and throughout October I really focused Now, did I mention that I’ve done all of this just from my couch? All online parties. I’ve developed my ‘technique’ over time and my parties are constantly evolving; but I think I’m doing ok and things have really stepped up a notch in the last few months particularly now I’ve grown a large Team of fellow online partiers!!! I’m now earning most of the incentives, plus a decent Consultant Discount refund each month. I don’t think anyone believed you could be successful doing online parties, and me being the person I am, wanted to prove them wrong. Anything is possible if you put your mind to it. What I love most about online parties is that I can set the nights that suit me. I can still put my babies to bed every night, and if they need me during the party I can still dip out and help them quickly and then return to the party. I don’t have to travel to other people’s houses and be away. I’m already working full time in my ‘other’ job as a School Psychologist as well as trying to do my PhD in Psychology at the moment, so every minute I have with my babies in the evenings and days off are precious. I only have to do my ‘Norwex work’ when they are in bed. So what else has Norwex done for me? We’ve now more than paid off our renovations and are in the stages of planning another one. The extra income I’m getting from Norwex is allowing our family to spend more quality time together and not have to worry about day to day expenses. Not to mention the improvements of health and wellbeing without nasty chemicals near myself or my children – we all have allergies. So I guess the message I want to put out to everyone is, if you’ve been thinking about it just do it. You may never know where the journey will take you. If you’re making excuses that you’re too busy, then online parties are a way to go. Online parties are a great way to reach friends interstate who aren’t able to attend an in home demo with you and then the bookings just snowball all across Australia – I’ve done parties in every single state now! And, the new online ordering system has made the amount of work decrease significantly with guests placing their own orders and shipping directly, meaning even more money in my pocket without the extra time. You really can earn money from the comfort of your own home, and you can still help us spread the message that you can have a healthier home without harsh chemicals. Interview by Cath Bentley 13
