This month we talk with Rowena
Howe from Hobart in Tasmania who
shares how she has built her business
through Norwex Facebook Partying
I signed up to Norwex just over
a year ago. We had just started
some major renovations, I was on
maternity leave after my second
child and I’d recently attended an
online party run by Lisa Jones and
decided I’d try and make myself
useful sitting on the couch in the
evenings and try and earn some
money while doing it!!
I had first been introduced to
Norwex when 9 months pregnant
with my first son, Austin, about
3 years ago and ashamedly
amongst my newborn haze I
failed to use my Dream Starter Kit
for many months having received
it just after he was born. Once I
did finally use it, of course I fell
in love and so when I met Lisa in
an online mothers group when
pregnant with #2 I decided to
have a party, this time online,

and bought myself a Safe Haven
Package. Again though, I didn’t
use this (including the Mop
System) until I had moved into
my new house shortly before the
birth of my second son, Finn.
In the midst of renovating (yes,
I’m one of those crazy people who
move house and renovate with
kids), the costs were mounting
up as I was on maternity leave
and so I thought about how
easy it would be to earn some
extra cash doing online parties,
since most evenings I sat on the
couch on Facebook anyway. I
loved the products so didn’t
think I’d have a hard time selling
them, so I approached Lisa and
said I wanted to give it ago. All
I wanted was something t o do
on the couch. I never could have
imagined how much it would

change my life!!
So that was just over 12 months
ago now. When I joined, I never
expected or realised that you
could earn SO MUCH MONEY,
free products all the time, let
alone other ‘prizes’ and THEN
all the incentive trips!!!! I was
immediately drawn to striving for
these incentives, especially when
soon after I joined my upline Lisa
achieved Hawaii and I was like ‘I
CAN DO THIS!’
So I developed my online party
script and set off doing parties. I
couldn’t believe how easy it was
to earn $200 in a night just from
sitting on my couch posting on
Facebook. In the beginning, yes
it was tough getting the ongoing
bookings particularly as I didn’t
have the confidence to ‘ask’ if
