Like Abraham , Steve Gotshall is familiar with the nuts-and-bolts challenges facing the industry today . As the new chief financial officer of AdventHealth Gordon and AdventHealth Murray , Gotshall comes to his position in the midst of a tight labor market and an inflationary economy . However , he sees AdventHealth as being well-positioned for success , compared to other health care providers .
“ Having a strong mission and vision and values as an organization and having a healthy culture will ultimately give us an advantage when it comes to hiring staff ,” he said . “ That mission differentiates us from a lot of our competitors .”
Gotshall sees his primary role as CFO as being one of stewardship . On a day-to-day basis , his goal is to wisely and effectively utilize resources to their best purpose . He also described the job as being about long-term viability , ensuring that the AdventHealth facilities in his charge are operating smoothly years down the road .

The Michigan native earned a bachelor ’ s degree with an emphasis in finance from Southern Adventist University and an MBA from the University of Central Florida . He began his tenure in the AdventHealth system as a college intern in the Chicago market and , most recently , served as associate vice
