They have a robust inventory of equipment at the Bellingham location including , five 5-Axis CNC machines , five 4-Axis Horizontal machines , 10 3-Axis Vertical machines , seven CNC Turning Centers , Waterjet , and Composites equipment , including Autoclave . They also offer testing , quality assurance , support and specialties like Shot Peen equipment and Laser Marking .
Tony Saha , key account manager , said , “ Fortunately , because of the renewed interest in the space program and the advent of the commercial market , everybody ’ s getting involved in the space business ; that is working out for us .”
Saha , who started with the company in 2019 , had a history of working with the medical device industry after a 20-year Naval career . When he was being courted by Trulife , he said , “ I don ’ t have a background in machining but have been working on my own motorcycles since I was 20 .” He appreciates people who have mechanical ability , and values good design and good function . He said , “ I decided I wanted to work here when I went up to interview . Mike Sumner and Dagan McAtee were extremely friendly and even though I didn ’ t have a background in machining , that was okay .” He said , “ I ’ m going to ask a lot of questions . They have been happy to share information along the way .”
As an account manager , Saha values , “ the level of complexity in the design and execution of cutting the part and being able to take it from a drawing and produce this beautiful , 3D , highly-precise rendering that somebody needs for anything from a pump to a spaceship and anything in between ,” and added , “ Being able to do that on an extremely complex design is fascinating . It impresses me .” He said that the “ guys in prototype ,” who are journey-level machinists , have a high-capacity to “ do it all first-hand , soup-to-nuts .”
He appreciates the employee dedication at Trulife Engineered Solutions . “ I like the commitment of the people working here — from those who take orders and quote projects , to the guys on the floor milling and turning the products — everyone is professional ; it is a nice environment to be in ,” he said .
