Linewatch leverages the unique Overwatch Imaging tech-
nology to automatically scan long infrastructure systems
such as railways for small issues. These precision imaging
systems help organizations quickly find what they are
looking for, so they can focus less on the search and more
on the best response.
ne early adopter of the Earthwatch imaging system
was Courtney Aviation, a California company with deep
roots in aerial fire surveillance. On June 23, 2019, Courtney
was contracted to map the East Fire in Mendocino National
Forest. “With Earthwatch, we were able to fly over a 460-
acre area starting at 7:45 pm, collect data in one pass, map
it automatically with the onboard AI software, and dissemi-
nate the information to the Forest Service by 8:21 pm,” said
Mark Zaller, CTO and air attack pilot with Courtney Avia-
tion. This marked the first operational use by the U.S. Forest
Service of the Earthwatch system, which is now providing
daily fire intelligence throughout the Northwest.
In addition to firefighting, Earthwatch is used for an-
ti-poaching surveillance, large-scale crop health and irriga-
tion CGTech-AUG-SEPT-Northwest
inspection, flood forecasting,
and other
purposes.

Oceanwatch applies similar imaging and artificial intelli-
gence processing to the maritime environment, automati-
cally finding boats and people in large bodies of water.
