Finding Aerospace Exporting Opportunities in India

Commerce has recently started collaborating with International Advisory Council ( IAC ) to gain greater insight into the local aerospace industry outlook . Pre-pandemic , India was the world ’ s third largest and fastest-growing civilian aviation market in terms of domestic tickets sold . As global markets work to reopen , India ’ s passenger growth is forecasted to reach 442 million by 2035 , with the aviation industry supporting 19.1 million jobs and contributing $ 172 billion to the country ’ s GDP . Additionally , having recently been designated by the United States to be a “ Major Defense Partner ,” India offers increased opportunities to those in the defense industry looking to build export ties .
