BEING THANKFUL
PNAA ' S SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM OF MORE THAN A DECADE
Reflecting on the past year of unprecedented disruption in our lives , PNAA is eternally thankful for our 2022 Scholarship Program sponsors . They reached out and extended a helping hand to those young men and women seeking aerospace careers , providing over $ 28,000 to 10 schools and enabling 20 students to continue their studies in these uncertain times . Their support has perhaps never been quite so meaningful . PNAA and the students say , " Thank You !"
As we head into 2023 , it portends to be another challenging year . Some students have become wary of their career choice in aerospace , but within the industry , we know that aerospace is cyclical . While this downturn is significant , the science behind the analysis for the future of aerospace manufacturing is positive . Students don ’ t necessarily have that knowledge and are questioning their choice . PNAA ’ s advice to them is , “ Press On .”
“ PRESS ON ” AND CONTINUE WITH YOUR EDUCATION . DON ’ T GIVE IN TO DOUBT OR GIVE UP ON YOUR GOAL .
Students have a weighty responsibility in preparing to work in this exacting industry which requires a formal education and hands -on training . Those prerequisites are more important now than ever before , and it ’ s our time to reassure them that they are on the right track . With a strong showing of scholarship support , we reinforce our committment to the success of aerospace ' s next generation , and instill confidence that rewarding aerospace jobs will be there for them .
LET ’ S CONTINUE GIVING THE GIFT OF MONETARY SUPPORT TOWARD THEIR EDUCATION .
PNAA ’ s Scholarship Program began in 2010 with the audacious goal of raising $ 50,000 . We are proud to announce that over the past 12 years our generous supporters have sponsored over $ 340,000 at 11 schools , distributing the funds to over 170 students .
MESSAGE FROM THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS : TRIBUTE TO KARL FAGAN SCHOLARSHIP FUND
When tragedy struck with the unexpected passing of PNAA ’ s Board Member Karl Fagan in 2011 , the Board established a Scholarship Fund in his name . A consummate salesman with a smile that would light up the room , Karl ’ s special power was the ability to bring people together for the benefit of the industry . The scholarship program was an initiative he enthusiastically supported and Karl would be very pleased with the industry ’ s contributions !
PNAA ’ s commitment to workforce development never wanes . We have maintained a scholarship fund since 2010 and will continue to do so into the future . Eligible students who are enrolled in participating aerospace programs are granted scholarships of a minimum of $ 1,000 . Donors are able to select the school for their funds and the school selects the recipient . To learn how you can sponsor a student , please reach out to any of PNAA ’ s staff , a board member , or visit our website ( www . pnaa . net ), hover over PNAA in the menu , and click on Scholarships .
ONCE AGAIN , A BIG THANK YOU TO THE MANY COMPANIES AND INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO OUR SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM !
