ut five years ago, the company got into the precision
agriculture business—using the cameras built for drones,
but putting them on aircraft to scan farm fields to get
precise evaluations of fields down to the square yard. This
allows for more exacting applications of fertilizers and
other farm chemicals.

The company’s move into firefighting and natural disasters
came in response to another big wildfire, the Yarnell Hill
Fire outside Prescott, AZ in 2013. The blaze killed 19 mem-
bers of the Granite Mountain Hotshots, an elite Prescott Fire
Department team trained in fighting wildfires.
