In closing Lee Terry said that although she is slowing down and doesn’t come in every day, like her father, she has no immediate plans for retirement. “I’ll be coming in with a walker or wheelchair — but I love what I do.” She said that the employees call her, “Mrs. Lee” or “Ms. Terry” but says that she doesn’t think they’d call her a “princess” although she has been at the top of the compa- ny for many years. She said that when she’s in the office she walks around to talk to everyone and to see how they are doing. She asks, “Is there anything wrong; do you need anything?” She said she used to know everyone’s name but with 225 employees, she no longer knows everyone. There’s one employee, Bob Walker, who has been there longer than Lee, at 45 years. She is the next longest ten- ured employee with 36 years. But Pilot said that after that, there are many employees in the 10 to 20-year range. The company will have a new facility, “seven miles down the road” at the start of 2020. Pilot said that they will dou- ble and consolidate their space with the move. 48 NORTHWEST AEROSPACE NEWS Cascade Gasket & Mfg. Co.
