T hroughout the years, Lee Terry said they have had continual growth, “We have had good word of mouth, on-time delivery, and good quality.” She attri- butes the company success to old-fash- ioned values. “My father was an honest man; handshakes were agreements.” In 2005, Lee said she had to decide whether the company was going to stay domestic or be a “world contender.” De- spite the certifications and audits needed to take this step, she decided to move forward. She hired a lean manufacturing expert which she said, “really turned things around.” She did note that they don’t have robots in their factory. “All parts are hand built,” and they are in smaller quantities, Lee added. 46 NORTHWEST AEROSPACE NEWS
