It’s a core value, he said, and it “trumps everything we do.” And when a customer has a problem, his team considers it to be their problem too, he said. “We’re there to help you troubleshoot,” he said. “We want to understand where you want to go with your business.” FEMAP • SIMCENTER • STAR-CCM+ NX CAD • NX CAM • TEAMCENTER Moving Days The majority of Crane’s former Interpoint modular power systems business was in a modern office park across the street from the lush, sprawling Willows Run Golf Complex in Redmond. “It was a beautiful campus,” Mundinger said. “Multiple buildings, lots of space.” The problem was that Crane had 200-some engineers rattling around in 83,000 square feet of office space. At the same time, Crane had unused space at its Lynnwood site, just off Interstate 5. The move required modernizing the Lynnwood site, and constructing a state-of-the-art clean room, where technicians assemble everything from military-spec electronics for space probes and defense programs to micro-electronics that go into cochlear implants. The move came in July 2019, and it was “quite impressive,” said King, who was still new to the company then.
