Crane is committed to “pushing
the boundaries of where this
technology can go,” Mundinger
said. It’s a core value, he said, and it
“trumps everything we do.”
And when a customer has a problem,
his team considers it to be their
problem too, he said.
“We’re there to help you troubleshoot,”
he said. “We want to
understand where you want to go
with your business.”

Moving Days
The majority of Crane’s former
Interpoint modular power systems
business was in a modern office
park across the street from the lush,
sprawling Willows Run Golf Complex
in Redmond.
“It was a beautiful campus,”
Mundinger said. “Multiple buildings,
lots of space.”
The problem was that Crane had
200-some engineers rattling around
in 83,000 square feet of office
space. At the same time, Crane had
unused space at its Lynnwood site,
just off Interstate 5.
The move required modernizing the
Lynnwood site, and constructing a
state-of-the-art clean room, where
technicians assemble everything
from military-spec electronics for
space probes and defense programs
to micro-electronics that go into
cochlear implants.
The move came in July 2019, and it
was “quite impressive,” said King,
who was still new to the company
then.
