Airborne ECS has enjoyed significant successes on the ground and in the air
for military applications. However, they are passionately committed to grow-
ing their aerospace footprint — which includes commercial aircraft endeavors
— and are about to announce the signature of their first contract with a major
European business jet manufacturer. The team from Airborne ECS are actively
involved in the Pacific Northwest aerospace community and have become a reg-
ular face at events hosted by the Pacific Northwest Aerospace Alliance, including
their presence with a high-tech booth showcasing their technology at the 2018
Annual Aerospace Conference. Confident in the future of their business offering
Lee says, “We want the civilian market to know we exist because we absolutely
know that our technology can address their needs in a way that existing technol-
ogies cannot, reducing size and weight of any cooling system or existing heat
exchanger by 50%+. With the increasing importance of the forward fit, and
aftermarket business to airframers and the continued drive to reduce cost and
improve efficiency, our products offer a physics challenging, superior perfor-
mance for any thermal management requirement, not only technically, but from a
business standpoint too.”

A Final Word Live or work in
With their quiet determination and
their successes in the A&D markets,
it’s only a matter of time before
AECS’s technology becomes a domi-
nant force in the commercial aviation
marketplace. With technology leaps
many major players in the industry
could only dream of, this small com-
pany will no doubt have a great future
— one that will cement Port Angeles
firmly on the aerospace technology
map for decades to come. Washington?
