ur 60+ years of combined experience in
composite manufacturing played well for helping
to create great relationships. Most of the time when
we got out in the aerospace public, someone knew
Bruce or me, and we soon found that the world
needed another capable composite manufacturer. We
doubled our footprint, added additional equipment,
and what we didn’t buy, we built.
“Bruce was born to build things, so whenever the
chance was there Bruce built it, or had it built to his
specs — that included plaster casting machines, an
additional freezer and decorative application equip-
ment. The pieces were starting to come together. We
added an MRP system and established a solid QA
system that got us ISO9000/AS9100-compliant right
away. Another key to our growth was the bringing
in of an old colleague of mine, long-time toolmaker
Steve Sloan, to build tools in-house. That played a
big role in controlling costs and lead times.”
