BIZRECYCLING
BizRecycling is a free public program that helps businesses, apartment buildings, institutions and other organizations in Ramsey and Washington counties meet their sustainability goals by providing technical assistance and funding for waste reduction and recycling activities.
Since our start in 2014, BizRecycling has reached over 4,000 businesses and provided over $ 6 million in grant funding to establishments in our two counties.
Interested organizations consult with a technical assistance provider who will help determine if you may be eligible for one of five waste reduction and recycling grants:
Waste Reduction & Innovation Grant: Up to $ 50,000 for projects that significantly reduce a business’ waste.
Food Recovery Grant: Up to $ 20,000 for food donors and donated food distributors to participate in the food recovery process.
Recycling Grant: Up to $ 10,000 for businesses and $ 20,000 for apartment buildings to start or improve recycling and organics( food scraps) collections.
Organics Reward: Up to $ 5,000 in reimbursement for organics hauling costs.
Bin-Only Grant: Up to $ 2,500 in waste bins and equipment for small businesses.
