DCDS Dental Assisting School
Opening June 2019
t is with much excitement that we announce the DCDS
Dental Assisting School will begin its inaugural program
in June 2019. A subsidiary of the Dallas County Dental
Society (DCDS), the school’s program consists of both
comprehensive classroom training and a shadowing/clin-
ical externship program where students will be placed with
DCDS member dentists—in general practice as well as the den-
tal specialties. DCDS member dentists will be given first oppor-
tunity to hire new, fully trained dental assistants from each
graduating class.

DCDS Dental Assisting School will provide foundational knowl-
edge to prepare students to satisfy additional training and test-
ing requirements of the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners.
The school’s new state-of-the-art facility in North Dallas fea-
tures four fully equipped treatment rooms with cutting edge
dental technology, a fully equipped laboratory, a strategically-
designed sterilization/infection control area and a digital radi-
ography area supporting Dexis and Orthopantomograph
technology. One operatory is additionally outfitted as a world-
class learning center, with high-tech recording capabilities to
broadcast live patient webinars.
