Community Dental Care Opens
13th Dental Center in Grand Prairie
Community Dental Care’s Grand Prairie Dental Center recently opened a new
state-of-the-art dental center facility at 801 Conover Dr., Grand Prairie, TX
75054, located inside the E. Carlyle Smith, Jr. Health Center, Parkland Health
& Hospital System’s newest community-oriented primary care center.
According to Community Dental Care’s CEO Sharon Fulcher-Estes, “This is a
milestone accomplishment for us and our Parkland partnership and for Grand
Prairie. Thousands of at-risk children, adults, and seniors will now have better
access to affordable dental care in 2014 as a result of the
opening of the Grand Prairie Dental Center.” Community Dental
Care, the Dallas area’s premier safety net provider of dental services and a
non-profit organization, is committed to providing dental care and oral health
education to low and moderate income children, adults, and seniors across the
metroplex. The Grand Prairie Dental Center is the thirteenth dental center operated by Community Dental Care.
Like Community Dental Care’s 12 other dental centers, the new Grand Prairie
Dental Center will treat patients of all ages and will accept Medicaid, CHIP, and
major insurances such as Delta Dental, Assurant, CIGNA, and others. To increase accessibility and affordability of dental care, Grand Prairie Dental Center
will use an income-based sliding fee scale to provide discounted services for
low and moderate income individuals.
Parkland’s forward thinking vision to include oral health care as a part of a patient’s overall health concerns allows Community Dental Center to
co-locate a number of its dental centers, including the new Grand Prairie Dental
Center, with Parkland’s community-oriented primary care centers.
