The leadership team at Helm Dental has an unique base of technical knowledge that allows them to help dental clients maximize profitability and at the same time, support their goal of clinical excellence. X-Guide system exemplifies the expanded practical capabilities that sophisticated technology can provide. It enables real-time 3D guidance of the drill position and anatomy and allows the clinician to oversee every movement of the handpiece for highly precise implant placement. With X-Guide, dentists can scan, create and export a treatment plan, navigate without a surgical template, streamline the workflow, and shorten the time to completion for implant procedures to as little as a few minutes. The center also showcases 3D printers from Carbon 3D, Inc. “Carbon has partners around the world. Adidas uses Carbon’s 3D printing technology and revolutionary printing materials to mass-produce the midsoles of high-performance 5D athletic shoes, high-end bicycle saddles, and Riddell football helmets,” notes Helm. Although the advanced printers are only available to lease at the present time, the new facility is the only lab in the area to have multiple large, fully calibrated Carbon 3D print- ers. With the new technology, Helm can create exceptionally accurate models, nightguards, surgical guides, and digital dentures using the new Lucitone 199 ® denture base resin. Helm has established a full partnership with CHROME Guid- edSMILE, developed for dentists who desire a preplanned, pre- dictable guided All-On-X style surgery. This service delivers anchored bite verification, anchored bone reduction, anchored site drilling, accurate anchored provisionalization, and a method of transferring all surgical and restorative information for the final restorative conversion phase. This system allows patients to approve their smile before the restoration is completed. Helm is also deploying FirstFit ® , a guided prosthetics delivery system that utilizes the latest digital technology to provide 3D-printed prep guides and the final ready-to-seat restoration at the same time, so bridges and veneers can be completed in a single visit. The 3D-printed guides enable dentists to preserve more of the tooth structure, provide predictable, esthetic restorations, and dramatically reduce clinical chairtime. The center has intraoral scanners by Carestream, and digital imaging systems by iTero. Multiple scanning systems that help optimize efficiency with digital impressions are available, including 3Shape, NobelBiocare’s Exocad, Dental Wings 7 and, Sirona. Helm Dental is devoted to informing and supporting dental clients in their pursuit of the best possible tools for providing exceptional patient care. In response to the observation that too many cases are not properly planned, Helm Dental has devel- oped a free app (Helm Dental, available in the Google Play Store for Android and the Apple App Store for iOS). This deci- sion tree app helps dentists determine the best options for a full arch restoration. The user answers a series of questions for a specific patient and is then presented with recommendations ranked in order of suitability. www.northtexasdentistry.com | NORTH TEXAS DENTISTRY 9
