Helm Dental has 13 mills in the new facility, with room to expand to 22,
and is one of a select few labs to have the capability to mill the newest
nanoceramic Crystal ® Ultra, a new hybrid material that flexes in
the mouth as the patient chews, absorbing shock.
Dentists aren’t immune to the factors pushing American
businesses to adopt either a Walmart or Neiman Marcus model,
as the middle ground shrinks into oblivion. While each model
has its advantages and disadvantages, many dentists are choos-
ing personal service over volume, and excellence over expedi-
ency. That choice does not have to put profitability on the
chopping block.
“We have a unique base of technical knowledge that
allows us to help dental clients maximize profitability and at
the same time, supports their goal of clinical excellence.”
We get immense personal and professional reward from the
quality and service we provide,” Helm points out. “Witnessing
technological advances and understanding how they can posi-
tively impact both profitability and clinical excellence keeps us
excited for the future. Our goal is to share that excitement with
our dentist partners.”
Kurtis Helm believes that “for every problem, there is an
opportunity”, and he has put his belief into action, not
only in the new opportunities for dentists embodied in
the learning center, but in new opportunities for the
young people in his community. Helm Dental recently
received a grant from the Wylie Economic Development
Council to offer high school students a unique opportu-
nity for hands-on training. Beginning this fall, a select
group of students with an interest in a medical or dental
career will be able to attend a school/work program that
includes a half day of technical instruction using both
classroom training and software-directed instruction.
HELM DENTAL LABORATORY
The new facility is the only lab in the area to have large, fully calibrated
Carbon 3D printers. With the new technology, Helm can create highly
accurate models, night guards, surgical guides, and digital dentures
using the new Lucitone 199 ® denture base resin.
We’re always looking to add valuable members to
our team, so please call the laboratory if you are
interested in learning more about our current
employment opportunities.
