ARCHERY TECH: STEVEN KEITH As a kid I grew up in Moses Lake, Washington, where I shot off and on with a traditional recurve bows for target, and mostly hunted modern firearm seasons here in Washington. I made the switch to compound archery setups when I saw the better hunting seasons offered in local areas, and peaking interest of bow fishing in the basin here about 4 years ago. Since then, I have competed in multiple bow fishing tournaments, along with shooting 3-D and hunting. I am the President of Central Washington University’s Archery Club and have been for the past two years. In the club, I help both new shooters getting into the sport, and seasoned shooters trying to better themselves at surrounding 3-D shoots. I have helped put on the Washington State National Archery in Schools Program’s State Championship which is held at CWU for two years now, and will be held at the school for a third year straight. I treestand hunt for whitetails and bear in our area, but switch to spot and stalk techniques for elk hunting over by Kittitas. I love archery shooting and hunting all the way to it’s core, whether its traditional or compound bows I am ready to help you with all your archery needs, on the range or in the field. I shoot a Bowtech Insanity CPXL for a 3-D and hunting, with a Diamond Core for a bowfishing setup. The Core has mostly products from Muzzy’s bowfishing line, but I also switch between Zebco and Cajun Archery reel setups depending on weather situations. With the Insanity, I shoot with a single pin adjustable by Archers Extreme, a Tight Spot quiver, QAD HDX rest, Bee-Stinger 8” stabilizer, limb and riser dampeners by limbsaver to cut down on vibration, Carbon Express Maxima Red arrows with Toxic 100gr broadheads on them, “Normal Doesn’t Cut It Anymore.” Lines we carry: 18
