“I realized then that I am
really going to like this sport.”
I attended the North 40 archery meeting and partcipated in shooting in the first North 40 3D shoot.
It was a great time getting to meet and put faces with names from the rest of the archery team from
around the company. After all the meetings were done, we decided to have some fun by putting up
a little 3D course. It was awesome to hear everyone laugh while their teammate smashed an arrow on the steel turkey. At the end of the shoot, we all turned in our score cards, everyone was still
laughing and talking about how some of the guys who had some problems of being vertically challenged were displaying some interesting shooting positions as they where trying to keep one foot
on the stake and trying to find a hole through the branches so they could try to thread the needle.
When it came time for the awards to be handed out. I was surprised when my name was called
earning the “bragging rights” for best shooter in the company. I was very closely chased in the ranks
by my supervisor Rob Patton from Great Falls, and Chris Nichols from Couer d’Alene.
I would like to say thanks to North 40 owner, Wayne Wike, for hosting a greet learning opportunity
and the chance to meet the rest of my archery team, and thanks to the archery team for taking it
easy on me.
