“My folks started in the
greenhouse business in 1970,
and I was born in ’68, so I’ve
grown up in the greenhouse
my whole life. We’ve done
everything from nursery
stock and sod farming to
flowers—there’s been a few
different incarnations of the
greenhouse business, but
we’ve been in our current
location since 1984.
Our specialty is variety—our
catalog has around 1,800
different variety of plants.
It can be a nightmare when
working on inventory, but
we jump through the hoops
so we can provide this larger
variety to our customers. As
companies get bigger, typically
their catalogs get smaller—we
found our niche is in our larger
catalog and variety—and we’re
known for it.
We also get products not
typically available to the
public—right now we have
plant materials in-stock that
won’t be available until 2016
in our greenhouse on a trial
basis. Our company likes to
stay ahead of the curve.
Visser Greenhouse is a family
run, Montana operation
built with Montana labor. We
