CONTRIBUTORS
DAVE McCOY
Dave McCoy owns Emerald Water Anglers in West Seattle,
Washington, and is a diehard angler who travels the world to
pursue exotic species. Closer to home, McCoy spends time chasing
steel on the OP and in Oregon, where he was born and, soon after,
contracted the steelhead virus. He lives on Puget Sound with his
wife, Natalie, and their daughter, Nessa. You can book trips with
McCoy and his bevy of top guides, at:

GEORGE COOK
George Cook is a longtime rep for Sage, Rio and Redington, among
other brands, and has managed some of the finest stillwaters in
eastern Washington for a few decades. He is a fishing and hunting
machine, toiling for anadromous fish wherever they swim and
hunting antlered game from northern Alaska to Mexico. When he’s
not catching-and-releasing or straight out killing, you might find
him leading spey claves in Idaho and Oregon, or rapping about his
favorite subjects to friends and strangers alike.
TYLER BALICH
Tyler Balich grew up in Anchorage, Alaska where, naturally, he
learned to hunt and fish. He moved to north Idaho 23 years ago
and now manages North 40 Fly Shop in Coeur d’ Alene. When not
wandering the mountains for elk, or wading rivers for trout, he
spends his time with his wife and two children.
FRED TELLEEN
I live to fish and have spent 25 years guiding anglers to great days
on the water. For me, it’s an obsession. At the age of two, I captured
my first bluegill in southern Michigan. I caught my first wild trout
shortly after in Glacier National Park. I spent much of my youth
chasing fish in Wisconsin, the Great Lakes area and Canada. I went
to Alaska in 1989 and started guiding. Alaska is where I also met
my wife and started a family. Today we call Great Falls home while
I manage the North 40 Fly Shop. Stop by the shop, anytime, and
we can talk fish, bear encounters, and my experience with Bigfoot.
