GREAT FALLS SHOP REPORT DENVER RATHBUN Run-off wasn’t quite the torrent we’d been expecting this year and most of our local streams and rivers were back into shape by early June. In fact, it looks like we’re going to have better than average dry fly fishing this summer on the Missouri due to some new management policies on our upstream reservoirs. According to a Bureau of Reclamation’s River and Reservoir Operations report from June 11th; we can expect some very consistent flows on the Missouri through the end of the year.* The warm, weedy mess that was clogging the river by this time last year might be avoided altogether! With that being said, fill your boxes with pmd’s, caddis, and terrestrials and head to the river to hone your skills.
